#1 A Shootout
The two suspects went towards the back of the home to break in when the boy began firing...they returned gun fire inside the home. Anthwan was dropped off at the hospital by his accomplice Ira Bennett, but later died due to the bullet wounds.
#2 Shots Fired
31-year-old Lamar Anthwan Brown was one of the men who attempted to rob the home, and he ended up with three bullet wounds instead. The young boy grabbed his mothers handgun after he feared for his safety.
#3 A Young Hero
A thirteen year old boy was home alone when two felon's attempted to enter his home.
#4 The Mother Speaks Out
“I tell my kids that if anything ever happens to call 911, but I also tell them to protect themselves if they have to,” the mother said. “I never would have dreamed that this would have been a part of our day today.”
