#1 Big baby
At first, his pediatrician thought that some sort of hormonal imbalance was making him gain a lot of weight. Miller weighed around 52 lbs when he was 1-year-old!
#2 Heavy teenager
Miller kept gaining tons of weight, approximately 100 lbs per year. When he was 15 years old, he was 6'5'' and had reached a weight of 707 lbs!
#3 Jacob Miller
Meet Jacob Miller. Jacob was born five weeks earlier than normal, but even being that premature, he weighed more than the average baby. If he had been born on term, he would have weighed approximately 12 lbs.
#4 Diet and Surgery
And by sticking to the diet that the doctors prescribed for him, he was able to lose 77 lbs, enough weight to make it possible for him to undergo a gastric bypass surgery. Just 6 months after having the surgery done, he looks like a completely different person!
#5 Additional problems
And the excessive weight gain also brought many health issues. He was also diagnosed with diabetes, heart conditions, liver disease and cellulitis!
#6 He needed to change soon
And Miller soon realized that he needed to start losing weight before these conditions ended up killing him, so he looked for help at the Cincinnati Cildren's Hospital Medical Center. Miller was provided a reasonable weight loss plan and a timeline to reach his goals.
