As you can see, the results are quite telling. Bed bugs preferred red and black over any other color by a vast majority. In contrast, the bed bugs actually avoided the colors green and yellow.
#3 Why Do They Prefer These Colors?
At first, the scientist theorized that the bed bugs went towards red because that is the color of blood, which is what bed bugs feed on. Later, they realized this wasn't the case. Now, they believe that they move towards red because red is actually the same color as the bed bug's exterior shell, and that they want to move towards what they think is a large group of other bed bugs.
