#1 Women don't watch porn.
According to the Kinsey Institute's Debby Herbenick, "Most mainstream porn is made by men with other men in mind." But there ceratinly is a market for female-friendly porn. Researchers say that men and women respond comparably to sexually explicit material, and women enjoy it just as much as men do.
#2 Having sex during your period is not okay.
If you don't mind, go ahead. Many women are more aroused during their periods. Just remember to have a condom at hand because you don't want to get or spread any STDs, and you can still get pregnant!
#3 Being sexually harassed is normal.
A new study concluded that many young women consider sexual harassment and violence to be part of everyday life. It is not! Sexual violations of any kind are unacceptable.
#4 Be moderate or you will stretch out.
Neither too much sex or having a baby will ruin your vagina. Vaginas differ in sizes just like men's penises do. That is the way it is, and whichever way, it's normal.
#5 Women don't enjoy casual sex.
Let me tell you a secret: women can enjoy it just as much, and sometimes more.
#6 Some other things we have been taught.
That sex was only possible between a man and a woman, that the first time would be extremely uncomfortable and painful, that girls couldn’t have sex on their period and that having a sexual appetite was only for men. It's time to change that.
