#2 A Boy And A Girl
A woman in India gave birth to conjoined twins, a boy and a girl, that share almost all their organs. The have two sets of arms but only one pair of legs.
#3 She Had Regular Check-Ups
The twins’ father is 30-year-old Chhota Singh. He works in a factory and makes £60 a month.
He said: 'I made sure to give my wife regular check-ups during pregnancy. We were excited to welcome twins but all our excitement has vanished.'
They can't afford to travel, or the high cost of medical treatment, so they have had no choice but to take the twins home.
A pediatrician at Sadar Hospital, Dr Raj Kumar Gupta, said: 'They are miraculous babies and very beautiful but as the chances of survival of such twins are always slim, we cannot say about their longevity either.'
#4 The Mother Is Heartbroken
24-year-old Shivrajo Devi is the mother. She gave birth at a private clinic in a village in Buxar, eastern India.
The mother said she was 'heartbroken and had hopes that doctors can save their lives'. But their health soon deteriorated. First they were sent to Sadar Hospital in the city for preliminary treatment in the neo-natal intensive care unit. Then they were sent to a bigger hospital three hours away.
