#1 Determination
While this type of pregnancy is quite difficult to have successfully, Katie was determined to make it happen. She changed doctors a few times and was hospital-ridden for much of the pregnancy.
#2 Meet Katie
This is Katie. She and her partner decided to have thrid third child. When they went to the doctor, the doctor found out that he was listening to two different heartbeats!
#3 Made It
While the twins were born a little bit early, they were otherwise healthy. The umbilical cord that was twisted would normally choke the children out, but somehow they were okay!
#4 Braided Birth
The doctor told her to not share that information and to just allow nature to resolve her birth. When it was time to give birth, her umbilical cord was interlocked like a French braid!
#5 Different Type of Pregnancy
Unfortunately, that wasn't ALL of the news. The medical staff found out that Katie was having a "monochorionic twin pregnancy"!
#6 Beautiful Outcome
Since less than 1% of births involve this monochorionic condition, there is not much research on the type of birth. This is what the twins looks like now! This is a total OTHER type of 1% that we can actually appreciate!
